Who knew you could play with sand and learn about Ancient Greece at the same time? 7th graders represented assigned social studies content visually with moldable sand. In each round of "sand notes" student groups were assigned content while on a timer. Upon completion, each group had to then share their work with the class and EXPLAIN how it ties in to our lesson. Students showed serious creativity. IPads were used as Airplayed document cameras to project work up on the whiteboard. Students found other ways to use their devices as well with background music and backdrops just to name a few. Well done 7th graders. Check out the pictures below.
